The’re Back

Do you all remember the blog I posted months back about what I had in store for Wylder’s wishing tree notes?  I was colleaguing them into a book form called Smash Booking.  They were all in place in the book and looking beautiful, when all of a sudden I was awoken in the middle of the night just a few weeks back.  Cold sweats, hot sweats … nope, these were more like panic sweats.  I missed them, I missed the wishing tree notes.  I woke up thinking of how many times I read though the beautiful notes, wishes, prayers and poems you all sent Wylder.  How some of them made us laugh, cry, smile … and most importantly how they filled our home with hope and happiness.  I was thinking of how much Wylder loved to stare up at them, and how I loved to lay there with him and watch them sparkle as his breaths got heavy, his blinks got long,  and he was off to dreamland.  I did not want them trapped in a book. I then thought to myself …we never even open our breathtaking  wedding album, these notes must be out for us to see and read daily.  So one by one I carefully removed each wishing tree note from the smash book, repaired them from being glued down, restrung and rehung them.  The’re back and they are as beautiful as ever!

I finished putting them all up this morning.  I read through each one, some so beautiful that I really don’t know how you all did it, some from people we have never ‘met’, some from students of classes that simply say “wylder is cool” … and now, somehow we are once again felt filled with hope.  Thank you for sending us these notes Wylder Nation, they continue to fill us with love.  When I stepped back and looked at the tree this morning, I felt happy.  I love Wylder’s wishing notes!  I know we will rest easy tonight watching them blow from the wind of the fan above.  Good night and sweet dreams Wylder Nation and Wylder James.  Lots of love and hope always.

I would bet it was sweet Mr. Littles that visited you that night as you slept….nudging you….”Mommy, can you put my tree back up so I can see it?” The pictures are magnificent…the tree is shining bright with warmth, love and twinkles of hope….just like Wylder shines.
