Last MInute Gifts … WARRIOR Style

Another year has nearly come and gone.  It is hard to believe we are only one week from Christmas, yet again.  I have decided that peppermint popcorn is blowing Bruiser’s mind this season (tee hee).  2013 has certainly been a difficult year, but filled with many blessings for our family … once again reminding us the true meaning of Christmas.  Winding down each night under the lights of Wylder’s Grinch Tree continues to Shine perspective on our life.  Materialistic things are not what matters this season, let us be reminded;

Please continue to keep families with children battling illness and those gone to soon in your prayers, as you leave cookies for Santa at the stoop of your fireplaces this year.  Although I truly believe this IS the most wonderful time of year, it is also so difficult for families like ours with little ones in Heaven.  So hugs your little ones a little tighter this week and give yourself a break, don’t stress about the small stuff (it truly is just that).

Wylder Nation … you all continue to be our gift this holiday. Your support and love and willingness to persevere to make a difference for our Warrior is such a gift to us. We thank you and send our love to all of you. Merry Christmas Week Wylder Nation.

See you in our dreams Wylder.  We love and miss you.  Christmas will always be even more special to me, because I got to spend a few with you.  Merry Christmas.  xoxo

  1. I agree 2013 was a year of highs and lows. And a year ago we were enjoying Nantucket. What a difference a year can make.

      Jill, isn’t it amazing to think?! I have been sulking the last few weeks about how much I miss that island. Maybe one day soon we can go back and the babies can have a beach day together :) Merry Christmas Jill. xoxo

  2. Cathy Johnson says:

    What a beautiful post, Shannon. And thank you Wylder and all of your sweet angel friends for helping me learn to not stress the small stuff, because as your wise mama says, it is indeed just that. And know too, that so many of your friends here are sending extra love and hugs to your mamas and daddies during this holiday season. Wishing you the peace and magic of the season, Shannon and Steven. xoxoxo

    • Mommy and Daddy says:

      Thank you Cathy, and Merry Christmas. It is easy to sweat the the small stuff this time of year with all the hussle and bussle, so I really do think it is an important reminder to sit back and just enjoy the Holiday and what the Magic of CHIRSTmas is really all about :). We wish you peace and magic this season too Cathy, thank you. xoxo
