Boston Strong

I am going to try and get back in the groove of writing a bit more often.  It has been very hard as there has been so much going on, and so many ups and downs this last month.  Our mojo’s have been very “off” to say the least, as our hearts have been both filled and broken.  I will continue to write as there is so much happening with Koa baby Heaven and with Wylder’s foundation in the upcoming months.

Phil is preparing to run the Boston marathon again in honor of Wylder in just 12 days!!  This year he has added team member Mylee as another running mate for him.  She is very special little girl who’s family we have come to know and love here in the valley.  You can read about sweet Mylee and her amazing family that is keeping her memory alive here http://myleegrace2006.blogspot.com/

We wish more than anything we were going to the run again this year, but we are not going to be able to make it.  I know that the ENTIRE Boson Marathon is going to come back bigger and better than ever this year.  And to watch Phil run last year in honor of Wylder was life changing for me.  He ran, ran for Wylder … who he never met in this life, and who could never run for himself, but who Phil felt inspired by.  Life chang-er.  Really.  And all that Warrior paint … we could literally feel it globally that day.  We will certainly be supporting Phil from a far this year though.  Keeping him in our hearts for a safe and powerful run with the ENORMOUS team of 30 people he has put together this year (wow!!).  Below are ways we can all show our support from a far.

The great and wonderful Phil has put together another amazing silent auction this year.   You really must check it out!!  There are some amazing items to bid on.  The proceeds for both the silent auction and all funds raised for the running for rare disease team are all going to NORD (national organization for rare disease)

Here is Phil’s page … there are no words for all Phil does.

Phil is not the only runner this year for a child with NPA.  Kailene is running for beautiful Quinn!!  Niemann Pick is one of the 21 rare disease represented by the running for rare disease team this year!!! INCREDIBLE and a reminder that “alone we are rare, but together we are strong”

Time is flying here at home.  Koa is one month old today.  He is just dreamy in every way.

We love and miss you Wylder.  Have fun flying with Phil once again.  Keep him and the other runners safe love.  I will see you in my dreams little darling.  xoxo
