Well dreamy baby Koa is still dreamy. He is learning new things everyday and I am convinced (as all mommas are), that he is a little protégée. He is growing so fast, weighing in at almost 14 pounds now. He is most certainly my little big guy. I am trying to soak in every moment, because a new one happens everyday! To make sure I am not missing anything I am taking about 800 pictures a day … I hope thats enough (Tee heE). Here are a few of his latest tricks …
He can roll from his tummy to his back
He is learning his vowels (a-aaaahhh, o-ooooo)
He really loves to check out his hands and has officially sucked his thumb twice
He is very chatty, especially when his dad gets home from work and asks me if he’s been naughty (tee hee)
He got his vaccinations and barely made a peep. He certainly is BRAVE, just like his name proclaims.
He sleeps. He takes three naps a day and sleeps well at night, although every night is not a home run. Secretly I have always loved the quiet dark moment in the night holding my babies.
He has taken a couple bottles from daddy now, when I have gone to work.
He has grown so long his toes touch the end of his tub, almost time to move into the big tub already.
He can maneuver his way out of ANY swaddle, so has moved onto the sleep sack. He might be the cutest peanut EVER in a sleep sack.
His hair has grown so long it floats in the bath tub, tee hee. I love this, Wylder’s hair used to do this (and it NEVER lays flat once it is dry)
He NEVER stops moving. His legs and arms wiggle every minute he is awake.
And sometimes wears big boy clothes
He is starting to like toys and games a bit
He still smiles everyday and is super ticklish! Those smiles come with a side order of zesty meltdowns, which I have to say, I kind of like (tee hee). At 11 weeks old his personality is really starting to shine through.
We don’t take one moment for granted and we just love loving on Koa every minute of everyday. He is such a Blessing to our hearts and family.
Koa will celebrate his 3rd month birthday (june 8th) in Maui. It will be his first bye bye airplane trip, although we wish it was not to lay his papa to rest with his brother. It will be nice to get “home” and show Koa the magic of salt water air, but it will be a very difficult trip.
I know that is song is a bit overplayed these days, but it makes me think of Wylder so much so I just had to share it. We love you and miss you Wylder James. Thanks for making your brother Zesty, I know that fun firey-ness comes from you. We pray every night that your event this July is a success and we do everything right in your honor to help other children. See you in our dreams.
