We are home sweet home. Maui was beautiful as ever. The trip was very hard as you can imagine, but we felt very blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful family.
Koa did great on the airplane and settled right into Maui mode. Having him on the island was so special. We felt Wylder everywhere we went. There was so much bitter sweetness in this trip, it would be impossible for me to explain in words.
Laffoon cousins also got to meet one another. Baby snuggles and giggles overload. What a blessing these little ones are to bring some joy through sorrow.
On our last morning on the island Steven and took a Canoe out towards Wylder. We had some time for reflection and laid our sweet puppy dog Maddie to rest at sea with Wylder (and Papa). It was the first time she ever went to the beach. We should have taken her earlier, she would have loved it. Two sea turtles then came swimming by as we tried to follow them in the canoe. The ocean was crystal blue and the water was warm. We have so much Aloha for that sea.
It is nice to be home, hard to leave, but nice to be back. We are in full fledge preparation mode for the upcoming event now. Just a few weeks away from 1st Annual Living Like a Warrior Event. HUGE thank you to those who have purchased tickets and we are looking forward to seeing you all at the event. Tickets are still available for $125 each (this includes happy hour, dinner, live entertainment and a night filled with HOPE). Hope to see you there!
We miss you Wylder. We felt you in the salt water air of Maui, in Ernest’s music and every sunset. Your brother learns more about you every day. We wish you were here. I will never understand pain and loss Wylder, please wrap your love around those we love that need you most. Until we see you again Littles. Love you and will see you in our dreams.
